This page is from an album of paintings by Lan Ying, who created each page in the style of an earlier Chinese master. This landscape is one of the purest examples of the traditional Chinese method of painting in simple washes of ink, with a few broad brush strokes to indicate details. Can you see a mountain, a cloud, and banks of fog? A house?
